After some thinking, Nari decides to shrug off the strange encounter and have Besoff equip the Tailor’s Hat.
(Besoff)”Wow, just for me? Thanks!”
Nari then walks down the city towards the path that leads to the Mushroom Tower. However, the team is stopped, by a blathering buffoon, who claims to be a minion working for the Grand Sorcerer.
(Minion)”Hey! No one’s allowed past this point, y’hear? Especially you dirty, no good ‘Prophecy Heroes’, but I doubt youse ever be important. Now scram!”
The team runs away, and quickly devises a plan to sneak through the minion.
(Narrator)”Cue Montage!”
Nari and the team dig a hole from behind a building, near the area they need to go to but out of sight from the minion, but dig up too soon and end up right in front of the minion, before quickly putting the dirt back, failing, and getting told by the minion.
They the try and lure the minion away with coins. They drop one near him, then another one near that coin, making a trail away from the blocked path. But, after picking up the third coin, he stares the team dead in the eyes and throws the coins at each one individually (Nari, Dylan, and Besoff), creating a cartoonish red bump on each of their foreheads.
Finally, they attempt to jump over. If they can’t sneak through underground or on the ground, why not sneak above the ground? So, they go to the roof of a building, and prepare to jump over the guarded area of the path. 3, 2, 1, Jump!
…
Unfortunately, the minion saw them getting ready to jump, and placed a cartoonishly large net below exactly where they’d land. They land with a boing, and bounce up high, then down, then up like a trampoline until they run out of bounce.
(Minion)”You lot might as well give up, y’hear? ‘Cus youse are never getting through me! sniff sniff Wait… is that… Citrus Pie!? Oh boy oh boy oh boy!”
The minion cartoonishly dashed towards the bakery, giving the team perfect access to the path.
The team travels onwards, and their destination?
The doors of the Mushroom Tower.
