This is a comedy, not a tragedy. Get up, you two.
We all know DR Chapter 5 is a serious chapter where in the end, the big guy Asgore gets escorted by the fraudulent black figure. However one thing to note is that Blue constantly treats the whole chapter (even Yellow's "death" in the blood splatter) as a staged play and behaves accordingly.
Does this mean Blue is unserious as a character?
To him, the whole life is just one big theater play...
I mean to The Flowers they were only having their dream for 1 day, so Blue, the most serious member (Even Flowery is Aloof compared to him) treats it as a Final Stand.
Blue has some silly aspects, but considering he's using the like, traditional theater definition of comedy, it works cute.

And that's why blue is one of my top 3 flowers. 
Flowery, you need to take some photoshop classes if you want to catch up, chop chop.
I also think the implied Blue contacts with other dark worlds is cool and stuff. Flower for loreheads.
