The current order really does not make much sense, as dogchecks are semi-unused so prioritising those is strange, the weird route tracks are a different path (and toby's OSTs generally put those at the end). The "bonus" tracks could also probably be split up by chapter (and there's quite a few missing, I'll add those sometime).
Also, I don't see why quite literally every single one of the Website's audio files are on there. I don't think a crowd sound that gets reused in ch3 really counts as music...? Those should really be removed, or a page made for the SFX because right now it just results in a ton of clutter that's hard to search in.
hi you're so right about the order actually. dogcheck should definitely be below Kris's Songs. are you comfortable with editing the page yourself to move it or would you rather someone else?
i think it's interesting the chapter 3 and 4 sounds that were teased, and back before the chapters released it made sense for them to be there, but i thought about it and i agree with you. we really don't need all those sfx there it's just clutter. some are probably notable elsewhere, and some might not be notable at all. id want someone else to pitch in before changing this, though. it might end up being case-by-case.
id make sure all the stuff you cut is on a separate page before you delete it — but yes i say go ahead and get rid of some! i can move some ch3 sfx to ch3 development history
I'll probably just comment most of what I'm "removing" out so people can put it elsewhere easier. Could someone please remind me of the way you do that?
By the way, pianpian on the website and in-game is different. This usually isn't a problem for tracks on the OST because it can go in the subpage, but in this case there's not one. I'll see what I can do for that when I get to this.
Anyway, I've started making some edits now. I really don't think repeating tracks already found elsewhere in the OST is necessary, though. Especially not on the sweepstakes pages. So I'm trying to move all that information into the OST pages directly.
coolbeat.ogg (the song that plays when you select the "Perform" topic in Sweet Cap'n Cakes's shop) is currently not in the wiki. Would it make sense to include in this page? Is it music-y enough?
went through and deleted most of the commented-out sweepstakeses after making sure they were featured on other pages. more work needs done but it's definitely a lot cleaner now.
id like to remove these sounds entirely. does anyone know where they play in game? if it's a simple single-case use id want to add them to a different page.
slam.ogg
sprinkle.mp3
tv_static_bad.ogg
whip.ogg
wing.ogg
as for ch3_board... i mean it IS in the ost so just flat-out featuring it is weird like remex said, but it'd also be weird to have ch1,2,4 dogchecks but not a word on ch3. idk what to do there
A mention in the paragraph that introduces the Dogchecks wouldn't hurt, I think.
Dogcheck Music Tracks
These tracks play when triggering a Dogcheck, a fail-safe that is activated when attempting to access inaccessible or nonexistent rooms. The track that plays when triggering a Dogcheck in Chapter 3 is featured in the OST under the name Big City Board.
Big City Board is the 23rd track of the DELTARUNE Chapters 3+4 OST. It's an unused track that was supposed to play in the non-backstage City Board. It only appears in Chapter 3 as the music on the Dogcheck screen.
... Should we consider Dogcheck tracks to be unused tracks?
If the answer is yes, then that entire section of Hidden Music Tracks should be moved to Unused Music Tracks.
If the answer is no, then we should change the Big City Board page to reflect the fact that it is used. Including changing the page image from the unused City Board to Chapter 3's Dogcheck.
lots of links on Spamton Sweepstakes lead to now nonexistent sections of this page, we'll have to go through and change a ton
several pages link to "face.ogg" which redirects to this page which no longer has an explanation. where would we move this explanation? it's pretty important. a new section on FRIEND, maybe?
do we have a proven comparison between m.mp3 and me.mp3 besides "sounding similar"? i can't actually tell if theyre the exact same
