I recently saw someone point out how having so many citations is really bad for people with screen readers. Another wiki that was doing the same thing as this wiki does with Kris's pronouns (specifically Dante from Limbus Company) has decided to move the pronoun citations to its own seperate page and just make it a single citation pointing to that page. For the sake of accessibility I propose doing the same thing here. I get that it's funny and used to illustrate a point but I don't think accessibility should suffer for it.
It's funny tho
Even if it is funny that’s no excuse to be ableist
It will still be here just on a different page
Also it’s not really that funny
I think, with this in mind, the proposal to move the citations to a separate page is a good idea. Yes, it is hilarious, and good at getting the point across, but accessibility is more important than humor, and both the funny factor as well as the mountain of evidence can be preserved by making a new page.
I oppose this
^Why?
It’s funnier to have the giant freaking list
Funnier? Yes, absolutely. More practical? Given the point that was just made about screen readers, probably not. It'll still be funny if it's on a separate page.
In what way does it impact users with screen readers?
Full support. This preserves the information while not looking completely ridiculous.
Also repeating the reasons Kris is non-binary at homophobic people isn’t going to get them to suddenly agree, the easiest thing is to just ignore them
Because they are bad people
That’s not homophobia bro
Still bad people though.
OK so far it seems the consensus is yes, but what do we title the new page?
Kris/Pronouns? Kris/Pronoun Citations? Kris/Extra Citations?
Well, I wouldn’t move forward with this if the poster doesn’t clarify what kind of accessibility issues they were thinking of, because we can most likely resolve these without significantly changing how the information is presented.
I don't know how more sophisticated screen readers work but my tts reader extension lists every number from 1 to 48 when it gets to that part.
