The article for Ball Machine doesn't list an explanation for the FORTUNE about the chair:
IMO this seems to allude to FRIEND enemies present during the battle with the Shadow Mantle Holder, as the connection between the chair and FRIEND is established in the beginning of the Chapter by Ralsei.
Granted, one could argue that it's a foreshadowing of an event in a later Chapter, but it seems like all other FORTUNEs reference an event that happens in Chapter 3.
What do y'all think?

Sorry, I slightly misread what you said originally. But yeah, I still don't think this is a claim we can make a statement on. There are a lot of things connecting FRIEND to Cat Petterz as well, so we do not even know if they are the chair outside of Ralsei's cutscene.
I saw that an edit related to this info was removed very recently, so I would like to contribute to the discussion. I think a much less speculation-based version of the info could work. For example,
”Could be related to FRIEND, who is represented by a chair during Ralsei’s explanation of Dark Worlds.”
Would that be too unfounded?
I think we should wait and see if this particular chair becomes any more significant in future chapters, because right now it’s just a single cutscene. If a chair in Chapter 5 does kick our ass, or if FRIENDs keep being represented by chairs, we’ll know what this is referring to.
