Can we please get rid of the excess amounts of citations for Kris' pronouns?

Look, listen. I understand, people (accidentally or intentionally) misgender kris, but like…

I don’t think Kris needs that many citations for their pronouns. If its the intention is “Kris’ pronouns are they/them and there are a lot of dialogue to prove that, so don’t call kris a he”, then why doesn’t Napstablook or Seam get a bloatload of citations either? They both use they/them. Not to mention if one, two or even three citations aren’t enough to stop people from misgendering Kris, then what you think 57 of them will do?

What about the other characters that use different pronouns? Susie, Ralsei, among many others, don’t have a bloatload of citations JUST for their pronouns.

The wall of citations for kris’ pronouns is basically a bludegon that people use in stupid arguments whenever someone errandously calls kris a he, and with that kind of passive aggressive attitude is how you get people intentionally misgendering Kris.

For reference, Even Frisk doesn’t get a wall of citations for their pronouns, and Chara only gets 2 citations each for they/them and it/its pronouns respectively in the UNDERTALE wiki, but somehow Kris needs 57 citations?

I think the primary reason that people want to keep it is the amount of publicity that it continues to gives our wiki (which is important for one that just recently forked from Fandom). We've been removing excessive citations from other pages since it detracts from the bit we have going on and makes it seem like the Kris pronoun pile was the rule and not the exception.

I mean that’s fair (FANDOM sucks) but I don’t think we need THAT many citations just for Kris’ pronouns anyway, all it does is ignite drama

It's funniest this way, and the community like funny (Trust me, I would know)

In all honesty anyone who's triggered to misgender Kris based on the citations is probably bigoted to begin with. No reason to cater to those people.

The citations for Kris’s pronouns doesn't harm anyone. Just let them stay.

We must maintain the Kris 2000 pronoun citations agenda.

The community likes them.

And what the community likes, the community does.

It’s just a little joke because this is probably one of the most misgendered characters

Also, with your argument that it makes people mad or something and makes them misgender Kris on purpose, I don’t really see why we need to cater to those people

It is sad that some people can’t laugh at a good joke.

No, you guys personally finding it funny doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice page quality by cramming 50+ citations in one place just because Kris is one of the more misgendered charcters. And don’t accuse those who don’t like the excess citations of probably being bigoted.

Bridget from Guilty Gear silimarly gets misgendered to hell and back but her page on GG wiki doesn’t get a billion citations on every time she is refered as a female to combat transphobia

Either Kris has the excess citations removed OR everyone in both UNDERTALE and Deltarune wiki has to get citations for every stance of their pronouns being used for consistency’s sake.

@KockaAdmiralac could we get your opinion on the matter?

Well.
Page quality is not consumed excessively by these citations, they only take up a small part of the page...but I am biased to having them, so...

It is one page. Calm down, jeez. Kris is probably the most misgendered Toby Fox character, with people constantly arguing it’s up to interpretation. This is a bit, that was agreed upon by the majority, and a one-timer. Quit bitching.

What exactly is wrong with the quality? I’ve often edited Kris’s article since December 2021 (which is also back when we were on the FANDOM site), but I’ve yet to do a full overhaul on that article. But I’ve been helping with trickling in some improvements while revamping/updating other articles ever since we forked in April 2025.

In that same topic on FANDOM: this is also more proof that the publicity is important, because that site has a lot of dated articles that isn’t helping. I know this as a regular editor… and there are people that are editing on FANDOM that genuinely don’t know that the fork happened, so they’re putting in even more work, and it takes a lot of time to edit articles as is. Or some readers/newer editors are unaware who the regular editors were for the articles in the first place.

I’ve seen someone reason that just because FANDOM has more views on an article that it’s better… but the kicker was that it was an article I had been updating for the community.

It’s made worse because FANDOM as a company keeps the articles as is…

Nobody said that. Somebody just said people probably are bigoted if they get so mad about the citations that they start being wrong on purpose.

I genuinely understand your point of view on this matter, but either way I don’t think it seriously impacts the page as a whole, and the publicity thing seems like a positive to using it
