I mean, if she didn't even listen to Asgore's bedtime stories, she most likely can't read as well.
she doesn't know what death is and doesn't know you're supposed to swallow food, and has to be informed that showing lots of teeth is smiling, so I admit I do not necessarily think learning to read is high on the list of priorities for her...?
then it's possible seth taught her to since they hang out a lot, and seth is a nerd who likes books though! it just would be a extremely funny to teach her about reading before teaching her about mortality.

I learnt about reading when I was half the age of learning about death. I learnt what death was at 4 and I was self taught for reading.
i was also self-taught for reading at a young age! but for better or worse i learned about death wayyy before reading, so I'm biased. ;w;

I doubt it because this'd imply that Aqua knows what the magic stat is, knows how to estimate it, estimates it to be "none", and then proceeds to ask Kris to use magic.
