The Knight has four fingers on each hand. Kris (presumably) has five fingers on each hand.

It is possible that it's just an accident. I'd even give it greater than even odds.
But these two panels mirror each other so well—and Kris and the Knight themselves mirror each other so well—that I can't shake the feeling that it's an intentional inconsistency.
