Some articles are becoming monolithic, yet all its sections remain under one continuous page, which can cause a plethora of issues (see Wikipedia:Article_size). I've noticed this is particularly bad with some character articles, like Kris Dreemurr's or Susie’s, which feature a large gallery and around a hundred references, beating almost anything you'll find on other wikis. For the Deltarune wiki this will only worsen as there’s ~3 chapters yet to come out.
For this I'd like to offer the solution that more sections get moved to subarticles (e.g. Kris_Dreemurr#Main_story -> Kris_Dreemurr/Story), as this is already implemented and can be seen in pages like Weird Route having Weird Route/Chapter 4. Writing some loose rules on what articles should be split might also help those lacking experience with other wikis.
I don’t agree with this, I think splitting articles into subpages leads to worse user navigation. I’ve always found it annoying when I land on a wiki page and search for something I needed, only to find that the wiki split out some important information, like story or relationships, to a subpage that they linked at the very top.
I don’t think article size is an inherent issue if an article is easy to navigate. Someone looking for pictures or Kris is going to skip the Main story section regardless of how long it is, and someone looking for Kris’s pronouns is never going to care about how long the gallery is.
Not sure about this. The Chapters for the main characters have already been largely trimmed down by F-sharp, I also happen to be ironing them out overall, and with help from other editors like Otval12345. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if all the citations is one of the reasons why the articles may look so big.
The games are dialogue heavy, especially Deltarune, so it wouldn’t be an easy fix. People happen to like looking at the dialogue as well.
