tbh, if you ask me, hopes and dreams is better than megalovania. like, i just dont see why people say that megalovania is better and i know that 99.9% of the undertale fandom will disagree with this.

okay so my favorite boss theme is asgore....and then finale, and then battle against a true hero. so i don't even clock hopes and dreams up there idk if i'm just weird

FACTS
Well everyone knows Asgore is a frigging classic (it's what got me into the entire music industry AND UT/DR in the first place)
but between Hopes/Dreams and Megalo'...
Homes & Dreaps sounds better to me, but Megalovania has more history, first being used in the Halloween hack, then Homestuck, then Geno.
So...
It depends on what the criteria are.
Oh, and Finale is absolutely great.
