Back at Queen's mansion...
The Fun Gang had just freed Berdly from the wires that had been controlling him. He collapsed dramatically on the ground.
"Those wires..." He coughed. "They drained me of my life juices... only a kiss from a true gamer could revive me..."
Ralsei and Susie looked at Echo, who balked in indignation.
"Wh- what? I'm barely a gamer! I'm a casual!!" Echo said.
"Okay, sure. Tell me the dialogue during the Voidheart cutscene then, word for word." Susie said.
"Uh... No mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering- hey! Why are you looking at me like that!? That doesn't prove anything!! That's, like, the most iconic bit of the game!" Echo said.
"Uh huh. So remind me which one of Gabriel's swords is Splendor and which one is Justice?" Susie asked.
"The blue one is Justice and the- okay, that's unfair! I don't even play Ultrakill!" Echo said.
"Oh, and could you tell me exactly what the best crest in Silksong is?" Ralsei asked.
"Wanderers, obviously. Other than that, Hunter's, Reaper's, and Shaman's are all pretty solid choices, but Wanderer's has the highest potential for DPS. It's pretty much limited only by how much you can spam. Pair that with Cogflies and Sharpdart, along with your choice of blue and yellow tools, and you're basically set." Echo said.
"How many games have you played?" Berdly sat up, incredulous.
"Played? A lot. Beaten? Not many." Echo said. "I think I've beat two games in my life? Not counting... um, the uh... that game with the runes and that one Greek letter. Or the one about a tale under." Echo said.
"Wow." Berdly said. "Maybe you're not as gamer as I thought..."
"SEE?!? I TOLD YOU SO!!" Echo said.
"Nah, just a weirdo." Susie said.
"Susie!" Ralsei said.
Susie punched Echo's shoulder lightly. "I'm a weirdo too, Echo, don't worry. So's Ralsei, no matter what he says otherwise. And Berdly. Hell, if you looked up 'weird' in a dictionary, it'd be him."
"We should uh... go find Noelle, I thought she was with you, but she's not here." Echo said.
"Yeah. Of course." Susie said.
As they walked away, Echo looked up at the sky for a moment, then looked down.
"What you said?"
"Yeah?" Susie said.
"Thank you." Echo said.
