Well there are two sides to the fandom. The English side, and the Japanese side. While the English side has they/them stated in the various dialogues of the game, the Japanese only have He/him in the dialogues of the game. This is because the Japanese language doesn’t have a word or pronouns for non-binary people. (This is what I heard, I don’t know if it’s completely true)
As for English fans who misgender Kris… either they forgot or they’re REALLY HOMOPHOBIC
