Please read the other things I have said. I said that it does not Exclude nonbinary identities, and that generally speaking, if you tried to argue that someone who is some form of nonbinary couldn't be gay/could only call themselves straight/their relationships hetero you'd be laughed out of the room.

I mean I'd laugh at the idea that you're using the framing of 'scared' and not 'actively bigoted towards'.
Being nonbinary encapsulates a lot of gender experiences to be clear, and I'm not the be-all arbiter of how other nonbinary people describe their attraction, but assuming that homosexuality/self-referring as gay is exclusively the domain of people with binary genders really does not pan out.
Every single day some people argue about something LGBTQ+ related, we seriously need like ground rules so this stops
