The pit seems to large to be jumped through. Suddenly, the wind blows. Your hair[1] turns ginger? And a bit longer on the back. The Red Strand you cut of Madeline is blown away and falls down the pit... Its purpose was used up.

You ride the Blackwyrm with a bunch of Mantises and the Karaka misfits(Aqua's there too) to Pharloom. You crash him again in the mountain, shooting Mantises all over the place and you (Aqua too) onto the Mountain's Summit...
You get to a small village, where some bugs seem to be preparing for some kind of Festival... You can see, low in the Horizon, a Blue, pale glow...
