I use it to speedrun to the nearest higher being (prolly some ichor of void but eh)

You jump into the shore, ignoring all Pharlids and shit, swim im the water at the speed of sound, and Dreamnail a giant shady figure in a dubious cave, even though you don't have the Dream Nail...
You're transported to a weird place... It's like a rocky tunnel, and various immense doors are in the walls. Suddenly, from a hole in the tunnel that shows the outside[1], an immense monstrosity appears, with an octopus face and six eyes, together with a regular(but Blue) eye in the forehead. They roar! And soon give you a small Journal organized as if to research enemies. Their hand has an Eye in it. Take the Hunter's Journal? Not that any of you are hunters, of course.
