Yeah, I think title-casing "Normal Route" in a few headings for consistency's sake is fine, especially since this is also a thread about UTW, where Neutral/True Pacifist/Genocide Route have been the standardized names for over a decade despite being entirely unofficial.
I’m pretty alright with the route headers being uppercased for consistency! I think the only phrase Toby was even close to saying was “pacifist”, but from what I recall, he hasn’t said “true pacifist.” But it’s our way of separating it from a pacifist neutral route.
- about Usage
I actually agree, I think it is better to leave the ‘main’ effects in the head section and save Usage for the more specific uses.
(–> contrary to what’s shown in the Dark Candy draft picture!)
Just to be clear, that would mean that Usage would not be a mandatory section, since most of the items don’t have specific uses besides their immediate effects, right?
(–> contrary to what’s shown in the Flat Soda draft picture!)
- about smartquotes/dumbquotes:
Not much to say, dumbquotes are certainly the way to go imo, so let’s get this added to the MoS.
- about Routes’ uppercasing
Not only is it visually more coherent, but I feel like uppercasing for Routes somehow makes more sense than lowercasing, as Routes designate whole different storylines and are functionally closer to narrative titles than simple in-game names. So yeah, I’m in favour of uppercased Routes.
I do want to say that the reason I formatted the Dark Candy page as shown in Link’s screenshot was because the immediate use is already in the infobox at the top of the page. I believe we might need to format the effects parameter to make it more clear what it does.
Otherwise, I agree that having the extra item headers when warranted might be the best course of action.
