Yeah it’s not the individual use, but it’s still trained on theft. And Anthropic And OpenAi both have been admitted to cut up book spines, many of those cut up books being the last existing copies so they basically have access to the last copy of the book. Plus it’s somehow legal even if the copyright hasn’t expired because they bought the book, but we can’t always mod a video game but ai companies can Strip a Book’s Sign.
