Well, unless I'm tripping, the Grand Fountain is made of pure darkness, which is why every darkner fits in with the dark world.

So I was just thinking because Ralsei is a denizen of the Grand Fountain dark world (and always has been) he, too is made of pure darkness?

Another theory I have is that the Grand Fountain can make darkners into pure darkness over time, thus allowing them to be in any given dark world without turning to stone. Like its influence changes the darkners within its dark world to be darker or something?

I do agree that pure darkness would be darkness without any one will (determination perhaps) imposed on it.

No he doesn't actually! He says he will, but that's only based on his experience in the cyber world! He is never shown as a statue throughout the entire TV world!

I've Shaw that Theory before, and even though i myself do not believe it, i think it was like that:

the Prophecy knows what will happen because it already happened and, just like that, 3 heros already saved the world and Ralsei was in the first Roaring too

Imma just explain my reasoning behind my candidates.

Chapter 5

Susie

Reasoning: There’s been a bit of talk that Noelle is going to replace Susie as the girl in the prophecy. Killing off Susie in Chapter 5 would be a good way to go about this, as she’s effectively out of the way.

Cons/Qualms: It just feels a bit too early in the route. Sure, Chapter 5 seems to be the turning point, but it’d be better for a Susie rematch to happen closer to the end. After all, the prophecy does say “AT LAST WAS THE GIRL”.

Papyrus

Reasoning: It’d make Papyrus’s character a lot less shallow than it’s made to be. Plus, while the main cast might not be too attached to Papyrus yet, WE are. It’s not picking at a characters emotions, but the player’s directly.

Cons/Qualms: A newer player may not feel the same attachment, even if the game is intended for Undertale fans. Plus with the Weird Route setting up to hit a turning point in Chapter 5, it’d be best to make it as impactful as possible.

Asgore

Reasoning: Apart from already being set up as the Chapter’s final boss (it’s been shown not all Chapters will have a new final boss), Asgore is Kris’s father, adding emotional stakes to killing him. It’d also give us a glimpse at what a genocide Asgore battle could’ve looked like.

Cons/Qualms: N/A

Chapter 6

Catti

Reasoning: Catti is shown to care very deeply about Noelle, and hung out with Kris when they were kids. There’d certainly be emotional stakes to having to fight and kill her. Plus, she herself seems to have an interest in magic (particularly dark magic), so it’d make sense if she was encountered in a Dark World.

Cons/Qualms: N/A.

Darkner

Reasoning: Just to add a bit of novelty to the discussion. There’s been plenty of Lightner discussion, but let’s remind ourselves that the first Weird Route specific final boss was Spamton NEO.

Cons/Qualms: It’d be more impactful for it to be a Lightner.

Chapter 7

Susie

Reasoning: Susie says herself that she hates it when people keep things from her. How do you think she’ll react to Kris turning Noelle into a placent automaton? Let’s also remember the prophecy states “AT LAST WAS THE GIRL” despite Susie being the second hero in the prophecy. This could be what the prophecy means (at least on the Weird Route. Still doesn’t answer it for the normal route). Add to the equation Susie’s title after beating the Hammer of Justice becomes the Axe of Justice, it just makes sense she’ll stand up to stop us.

Cons/Qualms: N/A

1. Toby states that Deltarune is only meant to be played after playing Undertale, and it's Toby, it has to be, so that argument falls apart
2. The Weird Route likely ends early at Ch5 due to The 5 being the last one here, so it doesn't matter
3. The final boss prob has to have the same mysterious aura and hidden narrative influence like Sans did. Betting on Seam or Paps
