But um
Anyway yeah that line in Leviticus, I've seen people say it originally said "A man shall not sleep with a young boy as he would a woman" and some translations still say that
Furthermore the book of Leviticus doesn't apply to the Christian walk, and if it did, I couldn't eat shellfish, and I freaking love crab legs.
I have no clue where Beef got "unless you're high" from though
still, Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."
Yeah, that's the line that apparently referred to pedophilia.
Once I get up and get on my iPad or PC I can start quoting scripture on why Leviticus doesn't matter
not sure what version you're talking about, I checked ESV, KJV and NIV and they were all pretty similar, none of them saying anything about youth
For reference, I was looking at NIV.
so you know what I mean
I don't see any mention of "young boy" at all
Yeah, apparently it's some German translations that still say it
This is something I've only heard from other people and haven't been able to check for myself
Really, the only way to know what the Bible actually means is to look at the original Hebrew Bible, with direct English translation.
So yeah maybe don't trust that point
The other one still stands however
Also can we address what the hell Beef was talkin bout
A man shall not sleep with another man unless he is to be stoned
Or whatever the fuck I don’t know
That refers to execution via throwing rocks at him until he dies
Fun how things gone from "killing someone with stones" to "be high on illicit drugs"
