I’d rather kill myslef than work minimum wage for five bucks an hour to save up for a 5,000 dollar PC

Just invest

RC: tsk tsk, you'll never get a pc with that attitude

are PCs expensive where you live?

RC: THEY'RE EXPENSIVE EVERYWHERE!!!!!

haha no there's not

like $600 something gets a decent laptop

I’m talking about a gaming pc that can actuallly run Minecraft with shaders

gaming?? wat

Vruh

RC: y'know I never got why people play minecraft with shaders minecraft looks perfectly fine the way it is

RC: also you don't need to a good pc to run ultrakill I think its heavily optimized and could probably run on a potato

So @JACKBLACKOLANTERN, how's this going for you?

So this is my take on piracy:

Generally avoid doing it.

HOWEVER

Only do it if you're in a situation where it would be very hard/expensive to legitimately obtain the game/media and where the actual creators and distributors of the media can afford to not profit from an illegitimate copy of the media. If you can't afford it or can't find it and it isn't from a minor indie creator, go ahead and pirate it, but otherwise try to fairly get the actual thing.

I say this because I'm gonna be an indie game developer at some point and I sure don't want people pirating my game who would be fine just getting out on Steam. I think you're good in this situation but like, "piracy is not a victimless crime" and allat

Also I'm not gonna say I haven't done my share of piracy but hey every time I did it it was getting a ROM for the DS, GBA, N64, etc so that falls under "I can't get it and they can afford it"

So like

Using an emulator to play all the Mario and Luigi games that I don't own is ok in that case since I can't get one directly from Nintendo?
