It just bothers me beyond words how all the characters personalities have changed
Maybe I'm petty. Maybe I'm petty for not liking the fact that to my perspective it seems like rose and Dirk are just saying "Screw everyone else we had meaningful relationships with I wanna be a god". But I'll be petty, thank you very much, and I will not accept the epilogues OR beyond canon as, well, canon. I will stick to my vanilla Homestuck, thank you very much.
RC: that's completely fair, i still recommend beyond canon, as it fixes some shitty aspects of the epilogues. i recommend taking extremely long breaks in between reading the epilogues as i did and eventually you will finish wading through shit and get to something amazing.
