so I dont know if anyones gonna see this but I’m a Hollow Knight\Silksong player and MAJOR enthusiast here to hop on the who would win discussion!!
Obviously the Knight’s greatest strength is that they’re the God of Gods, Void given Focus, yada yada yada, and we know the void can literally consume even massively powerful higher beings like the Radiance and Grandmother Silk.
But the Roaring Knight isn’t a god. And the Rory Knight is most likely made out of darkness. So that makes it a bit harder. How does darkness kill darkness? The void is probably stronger, but I think it would have a harder time consuming the Rory Knight.
But say we threw the two into an arena and said “Fight it out.”
Think about it. If we’re going by Hollow Knight stats, the Rory Knight would be one of those bosses that parries all the time, and deals double damage, and has full-screen attacks with those crisscrossing lines that if you get caught in them they deal damage. Probably on par with Shrine Guardian Seth in difficulty, and all your spells would deal reduced damage.
Hellish, but not impossible to beat.
Now if we’re thinking about it from a Deltarune perspective, the Knight’s gonna have a much harder time unless he can recruit Quirrel and Hornet to join their team (those were the first two people I thought of that the Knight might consider allies). If we assume they do have a team of three because Deltarune logic, and they’ve got Hornet and Quirrel on their side (Quirrel is the team healer, Hornet is the bruiser) they might win.
Hornet has soloed Gods. So has the Knight. Quirrel is probably a pretty solid support character.
They have a good chance of winning.
But I do think it would be a very fair fight, in Hollow Knight or in Deltarune terms.
But if we’re talking just in an arena, fighting it out, WITHOUT PLAYER INTERVENTION OR GAME LOGIC… The roaring knight would win if the Knight was just themself, and the Knight would win If they were as the shade lord.
that’s my verdict now I'm going to go think about what every deltarune bossfight would look like in hollow knight and vice versa :)
To be completely honest, we have never seen Void Given Focus lose, so...
- No way in heck is Quirrel a healer, there aren't that many people who can fight in HK and heal stuff at the same time.
- Void is NOT darkness!! NYAAGH!
Void is clearly an abyssal, dangerous substance which manefests itself as either liquid, solid, or more sometimes gas, as seen in the background effect of the Abyss and pertially in the Ancient Basin. Darkness is a thing that can lead to whole worlds-the closest Void comes to that is the Ancient Civilisation, and we don't talk about that.
Everyone always thinks of the Shade Lord when thinking about Hk Vs. Anything, but in truth against a UT/DR person...the Knight, or even Radiance for that matter, wouldn't be the strongest option, as there's someone else who dominates in this field.
Nah he'd lose, I'd save him and he'd claim to have won later on
