Okay? Jevil's songs are immediately after Chaos King in the OST. They're accessible at basically the same time, and it makes sense to place Jevil after due to fight difficulty, so he's also in his proper-ish place; He's also placed before the post-Ch1 Light World songs, or even some of the post-King ones.
Spamton's songs are placed just after the songs related to Queen's battle. Also accessible at the same time, and Snowgrave exists, a route where you're forced to fight Spamton NEO at this point. Also placed before Light World themes.
Hammer of Justice is placed at the end of the First Sanctuary OSTs, the last possible chance you can get it, just before the post-fountain theme. It's not just in its "proper-ish" place, it's in its proper place. Actually, paired with this fight being in the prophecy, I wonder if this was intended to be mandatory at some point...
So if anything, the Sword Route themes are the odd ones out, being placed after you seal the fountain, when they're normally placed first.
Jevil's songs are inaccessible after fighting the King. And yet they're after Chaos King in the OST.
Spamton's songs are usually inaccessible after fighting Giga Queen and watching The Dark Truth cutscene. And yet they're after The Dark Truth cutscene. Chapter's 2 OST does not acknowledge the Weird Route in any way.
Gerson does break the pattern. I originally thought it was because that was the end of the First Sanctuary tracks, but I forgot that Friendship+THE HOLY+Your Power were after Jevil in Chapter 1.
Hey all! The vote has officially closed, and we are moving forward with the term "Shadow Crystal Bosses." There's already a category page and a main article about the four boss-of-bosses. We'd appreciate your help in making sure these pages are in top shape, and that there's no dangling links or outdated terminology around elsewhere in the wiki.
If you have any questions about what this vote result means, or how you could help out, feel free to drop a post in this thread.
Ngl I feel like the Shadow Mantle boss was a better boss than Roaring Knight Boss... when you compare the 2. With the Shadow Mantle Boss following the formula of you have to "dig around" certain parts of the game to face it. Compared to the Roaring Knight which is a mandatory fight, but again that's just my opinion...
Honestly, me too.
Donât get me wrong, the Knight is fun and all, but it doesnât feel like you really did that much when you beat him.
But with Mantie, not only do you have to go through loads of weird crap, but he has deeper lore, like who the heck is he!? Why does he know so much about Kris!? And after his fight, you get some DEEPLY Meta stuff
Where as when you beat the Knight you just get the Knight aura farming more
