Hot Take #2: I dislike trans ralsei theory

SAME HERE

Tbf he IS a feminine fluffy boy

Yes

very true. The theory makes complete sense, but the way it's framed never really clicked with me. Honestly I actually kinda like the idea of gender fluid Ralsei. Even if I also like Ralsei just being a guy.

YEAH I AGREE

boy actually

Also to clarify, I think Ralsei being trans could still be used to subvert gender roles in a sense, but it would not be in the same way as if Ralsei was just a guy. So I feel it's really just a matter of what "flavor" of gender subvertion you prefer.

I have seen some people on the non-trans Ralsei side try to turn it into a "my identity is more under-represented than yours" thing wich is just really dumb.

Both trans people and men who are not traditionally masculine, I feel deserve to be represented in media, but turning it into some kind of numbers competition is just unfathomably stupid.

I personally prefer non-trans Ralsei for a few reasons, but I am completly willing to admit that my interpretation of the character and the story is not difinitively better than some one elses. Especially if they find the character to be reflective of there own experiences. Which is a very common reason for both sides.
