I tried it, and it's kinda broken for me on mobile.

Default:

Notice how the padding on the sides of the page completely disappeared.

Notice how thread tags became disproportionately large but only for some of the threads. Also notice how the navigation bar is chopped in half when I scroll down.

Yeah, Horizon is still sort of experimental, we got it in the August/September update. It does not let us to customize anything, so we wouldn’t be able to insert a custom Discussions background on Horizon. This, and how badly post previews/mobile layout breaks, is the reason why I haven’t made it default.
