I heard a lot about how after chapter 2, he was originally planning to release the rest of the chapters in 2 batches of 3 chapters.

But there are unused chapter select screen graphics for chapters 0, 8, 9 and 10
So unless it's a troll by Tricky Tony it may possibly happen.

the chapter select screen just uses text, those are for the bootscreens
the straight chapter number is used as the sprite index, so 'chapter 0' is probably just padding so that sprite 1 means the one for chapter 1. sprite index starts counting at 0, after all
(the chapter 1 one is also unused, by the way. the ch1 bootscreen doesnt say 'chapter 1' it just says 'deltarune')
I could see Toby adding the ability to scroll down in the chapter select in a future update.
It would be cool if there was an eighth chapter if you got every shadow crystal and did the weird route, but that's unlikely.

I would love it if we could get an eighth chapter (without real story relavance) so we could continue playing the game, but I don't think it's ever going to happen, sadly.
