Why I think Rouxls will attempt to work for the Knight

Remember the crack theory about Rouxls Kaard being the Roaring Knight due to sharing two initials?

While that’s impossible unless Rouxls has successfully fooled us into thinking he’s a Darkner, here’s a more likely theory:

Rouxls will work for the Roaring Knight.

One, Toby is well aware of what the fandom is doing. Including memes and theories. Who’s to say he hasn’t caught wind of Rouxls Kaard Knight?

Two, Rouxls has already tried to work for main antagonists, even going against the party to do so. Why would he stop at the Knight? There’s no evidence he knows the truth about creating Dark Fountains, and even if he did, why would he care? Despite knowing full well he’d turn to stone, he STILL attempted to work for Tenna.

Three, Rouxls literally has the power to change the rules. While it’s still to unknown extents, this still makes him quite powerful. The Knight could see him as an asset. Plus, there’s still the “True power of Rouxls Kaard” we didn’t get to see in Chapter 2 due to Rouxls petrifying. (I am now realizing how similar Rouxls is to Papyrus).

Four, Rouxls isn’t all that intelligent. The Knight would be able to manipulate him quite easily. To say if manipulation is needed that is.

Honestly, I’d be surprised if Rouxls DOESN’T end up (or attempts) working for the Knight. It’s just the kind of thing he would do. I’ll leave a poll to see if anyone else agrees.

I don't think the Knight would really hire him, per se, but Rouxls would probably be so persistent in trying to be their henchman that they'd just let it happen

I think there was a complete vibe shift in the game with the appearance of the Knight at the end of Chapter 3. The age of goofy villains and goofier Rouxls trying to be their minion is over.

If it was a complete vibe shift, we wouldn’t get Toriel and Sans doing the Jitterbug at the end of the chapter. That doesn’t absolve Toby from a few jokes.

And who says Toby has to play it as a joke? We’ve seen silly characters get serious before. Take Lancer in Chapter 1. Rouxls is just as capable of getting serious too.
