WHO IS THE CHAPTER 3 SECRET BOSS?

  • Mikes (* THERE'S ONLY ONE!)
  • Roaring Knight (Papyrus!?)

Okay: Defense for Mikes.
They fit in Chapter 3 the Best, yes, they're in the Chapter 4 castle town, it's only because you recruited them in Chapter 3. They're connected to TENNA, and it's not like they're from Chapter 4. You fight them in chapter 4, but they're most known for their connection to TV World.

As i say, eram is the secret part, the knight is the hard part.

  • eram is the secret boss, but thats kind of a useless category
  • the knight is the shadowcrystal boss, which is a much more useful category, and also what some people actually mean when they say 'secret boss'
  • the mike impersonators objectively are secret and are a boss, but it just feels wrong to me calling them a secret boss, idk why...theyre a bonus boss, is what i usually call them. singular, like as a unit.
(on the switch2 theyre also a nintendo console gimmick boss same as mad mew mew)

a bit ago warningnonpotablewater made a venn diagram of secret bosses/shadowcrystal bosses/the twr leitmotif and i find it interesting
jevil and sneo both fit in all the circles, and they were the only 2 we had for a while, so you can see we got in this predicament right? lol

The Knight fits almost all criteria, but only half fulfills the “secret“ part.

The Shadow Mantle thing is technically more “secret“ than the Knight, but is far more different from the other secret bosses than the Knight. (even if you ignore the “is a Zelda minigame“ part)

Also the Mikes are in Chapter 4. You can’t be the Chapter 3 boss if you aren’t in Chapter 3.

it doesn't even fill half. Its just there.

ERAM

The Knight does not fit the Secret Boss category, as it is not a secret. You fight it no matter what.

It is not really a bonus either, as you have to fight it. The only bonus/unnecessary thing is beating it.

I was compelled to immortalize these results in a screenshot for some reason.

Songs related to the Sword Route are later in the OST than where they would logically go (they're even after the Knight songs).

This is a property that they share with the Jevil and Spamton NEO songs. But annoyingly not Hammer of Justice.

Hammer of Justice is placed after every other song you can possibly hear before you fight him, so close enough.

The World Revolving and BIG SHOT can both be fought after almost everyone else, so they're at the end, same with the Sword Route ones (though it technically happens throughout the chapter)

BIG SHOT is excusable because of the Weird Route, though I’m honestly not sure where it is in the soundtrack.

trw is after chaos king, you cant fight jevil then

Close enough

What @tentechBiolognostic said, and Deal Gone Wrong + BIG SHOT + A Real Boy! definitely can only be heard before fighting Giga Queen, despite being after Knock You Down !! in the OST.

And what do you mean "same with the Sword Route ones". You literally can't leave any of those for later.

Is it really? The OST completely ignores the Weird Route in all other aspects.

(Also, could we even use the Weird Route to justify BIG SHOT being after the Queen battle themes if we never fight Queen in the Weird Route?)

Please nobody mention how the Mike songs are at the end of the OST despite playing exclusively before the Titan fight. Thanks.

The Mikes are clearly wrong man

They’re in Chapter 4 and have no freedom motif in their battle theme and give no armor or weapon and are clearly supposed to be silly bonus content

The humble Airwaves:

Do you think Airwaves is their battle theme

Pay closer attention

Airwaves is one of their battle themes and it has Freedom motif

Huh

The only battle theme is catswing.

Air waves is played during the battat and jongler minigame.
