Since beating the Knight gets you a shadow crystal, they are the bonus boss of chapter three

They can't be fought in Chapter 3. Only Chapter 4 so far.

Eram is the secret boss role
Hidden character who is uniquely fightable in the chapter and is needed for getting the shadow crystal

I finally decided on voting for the Knight because Seam was referring to the Knight as our next opponent
Shadow Mantle/Nightmare is probably THE secret boss, but I consider the Knight THE bonus boss.
I voted for Shadow Mantle, but the Knight is actually considered the UraBoss (Japanese for secret/extra boss) in the game's code. Though this is functionally identical to the term Shadow Crystal Boss - being used to display the shadow crystals on the chapter select menu - it's worth taking into consideration.
there’s literally no point in having a “bonus boss” category unless it’s about shadow crystal bosses. unless you also want to include the c rank watercooler, mike, miss mizzle, maybe the basement teacups
Miss Mizzle and the C-Rank Watercooler aren’t bosses, just Special Enemies.
The Mikes are indeed included.
The basement teacups are just overworld obstacles.
Eram is completely unnecessary to beating the chapter or obtaining the Shadow Crystal, so I think he's the bonus.
