What would a light world be like?

(Not to be confused with the world Kris and Susie live in)

I've been thinking on what would a world lighter than light, and there's been a few theories on light worlds, for instance some people say that a "Light World" would just be real life, but I beg to differ

My take on light worlds?

Light worlds are basically Dark Worlds but harder and uh different (Why would Light Worlds be harder then dark worlds if they're basically the same? well we usually use light to light up darkness and technically light would be stronger than light)

Darkners would be SUPER weak (But not Lancer and Rouxel, because they're awesome)

And uh yeah

Light Fountains would instead plummet into the ground instead of shooting up into the sky like dark fountains, and I imagine Kris and the gang having to ascend to reach the light fountains

And the Grand Fountain in Castle Town would become sorta like a ying-yang type thing

And a light Prince? Idk

And I made two light world concepts as well

  • 1 - A Roblox light world?

I've been seeing a lot of Deltarune/Roblox animations on the internet lately like the ones made by infery (I think that's their username) and thought that a Roblox or Roblox inspired dark world would go hard

I imagine Kris and the fun gang would probably wake up somewhere near the location of the light fountain they need to seal, but end up getting banished all the way to the opposite side of the light world and land in the crossroads and being put up on a wanted list for breaking a rule that makes no sense

The main antagonist for this world? I imagine the villain being an evil ceo type character that's like builder man in a way and their boss fight would probably be them getting in a giant mech like the queen but the fun gang doesn't have the thrash machine unfortunately and have to fight the villain through brute force

And secret boss? idk

  • 2 - A Water Lightworld?

The Fun gang but they're in a SpongeBob episode, that's all I have to say

So uh yeah those are my takes on light worlds, if you guys have any thoughts or ideas on light worlds please do tell me!

I don't think lighter worlds really make much sense but like the harder dark world idea and having to go up to reach them

light world Titan = litan

interesting

What would a "Light Fountain" even be?

Darkness is just negative light. The opposite of it is just normal light, which exists in the Light World already.

I don’t see the concept making sense.

“Darker than dark” makes sense because darkness was the absence of light.

Going darker than dark is crossing the threshold of having no light, down to taking the light that wasn’t even there, reaching a negative amount of light. This “other side”.

“Photon readings negative”. We’ve flipped the sign. We read how much light there is as negative. Negative photons.

If we keep adding light, there is no point like that. We’re already at a positive amount of light, all we’re doing is making the number go up, and “darkness” doesn’t make sense as its own thing (except AFTER we’ve crossed into that other side, “negative light” and this darkness are the same thing.)

If we went to a dark world that was unaware of the light world, where all there is is the darkness, and some light to expel the darkness like what we have, with these reverse-shadows (but they’d call it something else because they don’t know about regular shadows), perhaps someone would imagine, what if you took away the darkness (negative photons) that weren’t there, can get lighter than light…

But that would just be the Light World.

“Darkness” is negative light. “Light” can be thought of as negative darkness.

The two worlds are the two opposing sides of this.

The closest thing we have to a “Light Fountain” is the game itself.

Just as Dark Fountains give form to the dark worlds so that they can cross over to the Light World, the DEVICE “gives form” to the Light World to let us connect with it.

Perhaps this is why Light and Dark were balanced before the Grand Fountain is made, and is balanced again now. Both the Dark Grand Fountain (Castle Town) and this Light Grand Fountain (DEVICE) were made around the same time.

But that’s not my real take. The file names that fit in with DEVICE, all caps, shares the capital pattern names with certain Dark World entities, not Light World entities, so I don’t think this is truly the correct answer as to what is going on wit the balance. (I’m convinced Gaster made the prophecy to begin with, and certain rules regarding Dark Worlds only exist BECAUSE of the power of Determination. Sort of… Umeniko: When They Cry logic, just it actually becomes real and there are no “it doesn’t work if someone doesn’t believe it”)

Uh I just wanted to show off some concepts but ok

but I can see why light worlds wouldn't make sense, I just used light worlds as an excuse to make my own dark world concepts or smth

Would an object that becomes a being in the dark become something different in the lighter world?

So, that’s another reason why a “Lighter World” probably wouldn’t work. Both objects and our main characters would… probably turn into objects in whatever this Lighter World is.

Although, this is starting to get me to imagine a sort of inverted AU, one where the Dark Worlds are the more real ones and Light Worlds are the fantastical ones. Where Dark World objects can turn into these… “Light”ners.

A darker dark world.

Even more fantasized than a normal one, darker dark worlds will be a more specific section of the previous dark world, requiring you to seal a dark fountain and then seal the fountain of the original dark world.

Wait that’s actually a good idea

Plus I think we’ve already seen a darker dark world in chapter 4 when Susie makes a dark world

Well it's certainly possible because Berdly tried to open a Dark Fountain inside a Dark World.

No that's just a normal dark world that Susie opened

Opening a dark fountain in a dark world causes a Titan to appear, as shown in chapter 4

Well, darkness is just the absence of light, and my understanding is that “darker than dark“ essentially means achieving a negative amount of light, something that’s impossible under normal physics. If you subtract from a positive value, you eventually reach zero, and if you reach zero and keep subtracting, you enter into the negatives. But unless you start with a negative value, there’s no such “upper limit“ to adding; you can keep adding forever, and you’ll just stay positive. Physically speaking, I don’t think there’s a maximum amount of light there can be like how the minimum amount is zero, I guess unless you had so much energy in a finite space that it just explodes.

So, I don’t think a hypothetical “Light Fountain“ would create a “Light World.“ I think it’d basically just be a second Sun. Heck, one could likely make an argument that the Sun and stars are themselves “Light Fountains.“ And the light from the Sun is essentially the fuel for all life on Earth, sort of like how Dark Fountains give Darkners’ bodies form, which I guess leads us back to the Light World that Kris and Susie live in.

Lightness is positive light.

Darkness is neutral (zero) light.

Darker darkness is negative light.

So what if it isn’t possible in normal physics? Clearly UT+DR are already fictional, as monsters don’t exist.

But deltarune does have its own established rules.

Why didn’t you just make dark worlds

What was the point of making up an idea that’s basically the same
