Hey all, today I'm here to announce that we're starting a wiki contribution project to clean up the wikis and improve our standing relative to the Fandom wiki ahead of Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4's release.
The idea is that, with these projects, we give contributors something to focus on when contributing. If you ever want to ask: "what can I do to help the wiki?", that's a question these projects are meant to answer! But you don't have to do these projects specifically to contribute to the wiki - you can contribute any information or apply any fixes regardless of what these projects have as their goal, and your contributions will be equally appreciated.
Projects
We have three new projects to announce:
- New Pages project: here is a list of pages it would be good to have on the wikis, you can pick any of these pages to create or propose some new ideas
- Cutting Trivia project: our Trivia sections are often huge, sometimes messy, and that makes them hard to navigate. We just added a few sections into our Page Organization Guide and it would be good if we had someone reshuffle that information into meaningful sections
- Interactive Maps project: we want to have interactive maps of Undertale and Deltarune locations on the wiki! You can take a look at an unfinished version of the Hometown map to see how that would look like (you can also take a look at the maps we made on the UTY Wiki)
Rewards
To reward contributors to these projects, we're going to award badges to participating users! Every project gets its own badge, and every user participating in these projects to a significant degree gets a badge for that project. We also added the ability to display these project badges on your wiki profile!
The badges available are:
- Malius's Page Apprentice (for the New Pages Project),
- Trivia Spam(ton) Hunter (for the Trivia Reorganization Project), and
- Mapper of Justice (for the Interactive Maps Project)!
