The AI Spamton theory

(Palladium's gonna love this one)

my theory is that Spamton used to be an AI that actually worked, which came up with ideas for products and generated ads for those products that were both well-made and well-recieved.

the event that made him "insane" was when the Second Voice, Chara, the Knight, whatever you wanna call it, altered his code so he could no longer generate ideas or images, download images, or insert links, and thus he could no longer make anything original, having to start ripping off the ideas, quirks, and products of other characters.

Wait how can the AI go from "very good generative bot" to "Very incarnation of SPAM, which is unrelated to generative AI to some extent"

I mean, he still says things based on dynamic situations, so he still has some semblance of AI, it's just messed up by the fact that he can't do anything completely original

"fanfiction" is just not accurate at all

RC: like yeah it'll probably never get disproven but I doubt it'll ever get proven either. you could say any of the chapter 2 darkners are actually ai's, but, like, that's obviously not what they're supposed to be. like is tasque manager an ai, is tenna? tenna generates images in his text like spamton, maybe his code was tampered with so he can't run new shows. you can tell that he's supposed to be spam email/ads like the other addisons, like that's obviously the intention, like how tasque manager is the task manager. tenna isn't running reruns cause he's an old tv, none of these things are outright said and there's nothing saying they're not ai but everyone knows that's what they are. furthermore, what does this add to deltarune? how would the story or themes or anything be improved by this? there's no reason for this to be the case, it just is because.

TO: real though, he was in chapter two, that was 3 chapters ago, he’s not important anymore, he wasn’t even important in chapter 4

RC: nothing in deltarune exists for the sake of it, it always has a reason, whether that's to move the plot forward, characterization, its a joke, or to show the themes and such (unless its a glitch of course)
