Hmo, what if chara is the second voice in the goner maker sequence? Because after genocide in ut, chara teleports you to deltarune, a universe which already exists, and takes control from this gaster, an all hailing god after he fell into the core and takes control of the game. Gaster becomes the forgotten man and tries to take control by breaching the data with eggs, so Chara implements the FRIENDs and goes back in time and returns, then quickly pretends to be gaster. The eggs are evidence for this especially with the chapter 5 egg evidence line, what also could happen is that the knight is dess, taken into the shelter dark world with asgore and kris trying to save her and corrupted by FRIENDs who implement the prophecy, the twisted route, whereas chara wants the player to do twisted in order for this process to repeat, it also helps with chara being eram, where I think megalo strike back may appear as a soundtrack, and the weird route is closer to neutral then genocide.

we can see that it was actually supposed to delete the game (but for reasons it couldnt do that), thus, not RESETing, but DESTROYING.
