Okay, so Susie's dark world counterpart makes her have a lighter, brighter skin tone than her light world

I think this is just one of many changes made to Lightners as they enter the Dark world.

Maybe Kris turns BLUE because that is how they envision themselves as a dungeons and dragons typa character

Maybe the skin changing hue is a thing that only happens to humans?

Alternative crack theory explanation:

  • Susie is a dragon, so her skin is covered in scales.
  • Noelle is a deer, so her skin is covered in fur.
  • Berdly is a bird, so his skin is covered in feathers.
  • Undyne is a fish, so her skin is covered in scales.

The skin changes the hue, and what covers the skin gets lighter. If Kris had facial hair, it'd be noticeable.

My theory with the monsters is that since they have monster souls, which are white, their skin gets lighter. And with Kris having a patience soul and us being a parasite, they turn blue.
