Kris' page states that their Dark World mantle is pink, but the citation for it (#48) is a quote from Chess saying "their pink sword", not mantle. I don't disagree that their mantle is pink, that line can be left as is, it's just the citation that I think is inappropriate.
I think the citation is to justify calling the scarf a mantle, even though Ralsei calls it an ascot in-game. In that case, probably worth changing or removing it.
Ohhhh that makes way more sense, idk why I didn't think of that. I did remember people calling it an ascot, but I didn't know Ralsei himself called it that. It doesn't really look like an ascot to me though, I think it's fine leaving it as "mantle" if a dev called it that.
Yeah, I didn’t like that it got called “ascot” in-game either… so I felt mantle seemed more apt developer-wise, plus that was in terms of the coloring decision for it.
The “ascot” dialogue happens in Chapter 1 when Susie and Lancer are in front of their blueprint, if you’re wondering!

It just so happens I was watching a Let's Play of Ch1 today and they got to that room like literally 30 mins ago lol, the ascot dialogue must be from Susie because the person I'm watching didn't talk to her, only to Lancer who doesn't mention the ascot.
Anyway, Kris' mantle is kinda weird, in the basic movement sprites the mantle is pink only on the right (while being grey/blueish from the back?)
But in other sprites it looks pink from the back too
I'm not sure what it's actually supposed to be, this sprite is particularly weird because this part looks like it's supposed to be part of the mantle (as it's different from the left shoulder pad), but it's not pink for some reason?
Yes, it’s when talking to Susie! Ralsei that mentions the ascot line.
I always chalked up the back coloration for the walk sprites as the shadow effect from the palette choice for it. I’ve noticed back in 2022 that Kris’s mantle uses the dark blue shading from the dark blues of their skin. That’s actually why that line is still there in Kris’s appearance section. I’m glad Chess brought it up this cool design choice as well, because it’s unique to Kris!
