"John mantle"[sic] is a redirect to Shadow Mantle Holder. This redirect should be removed, as "John Mantle" is a fictitious name used for humorous purposes and should not be the name of a wiki page.
I think that redirect exists because people have been searching for that term. You can see popular failed searches over at Special:SearchDigest.
The purpose of redirects is so that people who look for something via an unconventional search term can still find it.
This means that niche information like common fan names for something are the exact sort of thing that should get a redirect page.
They shoukd add Mantie (my name for him)
This redirect is helpful as it redirect people from the fandom wiki if they use an extension such as Indie Wiki Buddy (as John Mantle is a Fandom wiki article)
i think its ultimately useful, it helps people find the right article
(currently it looks like this: if you search "deltarune mantle" on google, fandom's "john mantle" pops up, but if you have Indie Wiki Buddy then a button pops up "search John Mantle on deltarune.wiki", and people end up on that page)
It’s a redirect specifically BECAUSE it isn’t supposed to be the name of a page.
If a term is something someone might call something in the game, it deserves a redirect. We’re not acknowledging that anything has that name. Think of redirects as “Did you mean [name of the ACTUAL page]?”
John Mantle is not, and never was, the name of a wiki page. Redirect pages are not wiki pages. I don’t believe they even get counted in the automatic page count.
Redirects are what you use for every wrong name.
Though I can confirm Fandom’s John Mantle was vandals being vandals, and it was reverted back to ERAM on that wiki. (It seems they haven’t gotten the message that vandalizing is a bad idea. Hopefully ERAM sticks over there.)
Something similar happened on the fandom. Vandals kept renaming the Eram page to John Mantle. It's probably the same people.

yet, John mantle has also been adopted as a psudo-name for new players who only ever heard shadow mantle holder by that name.
