Evening folks, in Knight_Overworld_Droop (which plays when you first meet the Knight.) it appears to be dripping some fluid from it's face.
There are two ways I've seen interpreted, I personally saw it as drooling but others have seen it as the Knight crying.
Now both options are likely valid since the white part of their face appears to both act as an eye and their mouth.
So why is this important? Well, if it's drooling then it emphasizes some sort of bestial/animalistic nature to the Knight. Which is peculiar especially when it seems so graceful and almost taunting/smug at other moments.
If it's crying, then thats a lot more interesting, Why is it crying? Is it in pain? Why is it in crying specifically at that moment?
So folks, is the Knight crying or drooling? In either case does that tell us anything interesting about the Knight?
I'd be surprised Carol ended up being the Knight. For one, she very much does not seem like the type of person to pose and act like the Knight does. Plus, the Knight seems to be already present at the church while Carol is at home.
I do think Carol is an accomplice though, for sure.
its possible that since the knight seems to be made of darkness maybe it's just dripping off normally without it specifically being drool or tears, like if someone poured a bucket of dark liquid on it
I personally think it’s either drooling, or the knights body like fragmenting because they appear to be made of shadow/darkness which is mainly referred to as either glass or liquid in Deltarune so parts of their form could be dripping off of them
