It’s a common trope in linguistics that a term used to oppress a group will eventually (most commonly after events stop, such as the N word and slavery) be adopted by the oppressed group as a word of inclusion, that only the oppressed group can use without problems (I mean saying N word even if you’re black is still a problem, saying the f slur even if you’re LGBTQ+ is still a problem).
TL;DR people being oppressed by a word will eventually steal the word and make it only sayable by them
