Didn't he say "Kris, remember me? You brought me from the library" or something? That must imply he has been in Kris' house for quite some time
Edit: I also forgot to add that the Pippins explains Ramb's past like it happened way before chapter 3 so yeah he wasn't in chapter 2 and therefore this theory falls apart

I think what Palladium meant was that Ramb’s kind was in Chapter 2, just like Cool Trashy in Chapter 3 and how regular Trashy is normally in Chapter 2
