what if the reason FRIEND disappears after we encounter them is because they arent actually a darkner made out of pure darkness like ralsei so when we spot them and they disappear they immediately get the hell out of there and hide in castle town so they dont petrify
It is definitely made out of pure darkness. There’s no Actual Object FRIEND is connected to. Its concept may be Why it’s so ephemeral. I’m all in FRIEND being Curiosity, not just because it is a cat but because Curiosity isn’t smart, it’s reactive. It can lead to smarts, but what it gives is desire. Plus Easter Eggs, the Eggs, and Protein. Curiosity Killed the cat, Satisfaction Brought it back. It dissapears once we have sated our curiosity in the area, then it reappears when a new issue happens. Because then ERAM or Whatever they are(I’m still in on the Darkener that ERAM is a version of is the someone, hence why I’m using they, and The Kris and Ralsei Parralels go harder when doing such, even if it’s in a very weird way for Ralsei, They/It would help with Chara ERAM jokes but “it pulls the strings and makes them ring” feels more about the SOUL And Kris than ERAM and Spamton) is most Likely the Impulse to go further, to go deeper, to change Fate. They lead curiosity to Its more destructive goals or to Leaving Once the Impulse is satisfied. Plus it goes with Ralsei as Comfort and Titans as Fear, as Comfort is much rarer, and Impulse can both Grant Comfort or Produce fear due to its Result.
