Ok, So our thoughts of reverse soul order in chapter 2 was wrong. so I was thinking, will it just be a new soul mode every 2 chapters, since we though that it would be like this:
Chapter 1: Red Soul - Chapter 2: Yellow Soul - Chapter 3: Green Soul - Chapter 4: Purple Soul - Chapter 5: Dark Blue Soul - Chapter 6: Orange Soul - Chapter 7: Cyan Soul.
However it went like this:
Chapter 1: Red Soul - Chapter 2: Yellow Soul - Chapter 3: Red Soul - Chapter 4: Green Soul
which makes me think will we see a Soul Mode in Chapter 5? we could say for Chapter 7 that the Orange and Cyan Soul both show up in the Chapter. but at the same time we could rule out the Purple Soul since the only reason Muffet was in Undertale is cause She was a Donation Character. so if we rule out the Purple Soul Mode we could have something like this:
Chapter 1: Red Soul - Chapter 2: Yellow Soul - Chapter 3: Red Soul - Chapter 4: Green Soul -Chapter 5: Blue Soul - Chapter 6: Red Soul - Chapter 7: Cyan/Orange Soul
so let me hear your thoughts on this! do you think They’ll be a Soul Mode In Chapter 5?
By my theory of Reverse Undertale there should have been purple in 3rd chapter since it's supposed to be Hotland and there was Muffet with this soul mode but we only got it in the fan ramb fight :(
I guess there willl be the blue soul mode since it's supposed to be Snowdin in reverse lmao
nah, reverse soul theory is in where u find the armour of the fallen humans., not the boss with said soul trait
Some people just have the theory be reversed boss soul traits
This person even said “By my theory of reverse Undertale”
You can’t say there’s like a wrong and right version of the theory, and the boss version kinda seems more straightforward to me, you use the soul modes in the equivalents of the areas where you use those soul modes
It mirrors the soul modes, the soul modes connect to the soul modes, not the items
That’s why the Waterfall-like Chapter 4 has the green soul, because Gerson parallels Undyne, it doesn’t matter that the items used by the human which had the green soul were found in Hotland
If reverse soul theory is true (which Idk if it will be or not), then I think it's most logical if it's in reverse Omega Flowey order. This would mean still no cyan or orange SOUL, but it seems most likely to me.
I think it’s just gonna be blue soul in chapter 5 and then no more soul modes (except maybe repeats in the shadow crystal route exclusive fight against omega gaster neo)
I don’t feel like they’d have new soul modes in chapters 6 or 7 because there won’t be any (normal) secret bosses in those chapters
nah, we will most likely get it, just imange the cyan bones and orange bones [and or lasers] as theyre soul modes.
Technically blue attacks have had their colors changed since early Undertale so the game is more colorblind-friendly.
Yeah, this is basically what I think
Purple soul is honestly a pretty weak mechanic that can’t really be made into a more “advanced” version and just strikes me as a bonus soul mode
The other soul modes don’t exist yet
It would be really cool if we got them but I don’t foresee it now
Can you elaborate on this
so obviously the cyan soul is patience.
patience can be standing still waiting for something to pass, like it takes patience to wait for a train or taxi. Now with the cyan bones /lasers u must wait for them to pass you.
bravery is facing something head on, for example like charging into danger, hence why u move during the orange bones/lasers.
Yeah, but we already HAVE colored attack (and cyan attacks aren't even cyan anymore)
So are cyan and orange modes just normal but all the attacks are like they’re cyan or orange
no, like if a boss had a cyan soul mode id think you be in like a grid. and youd be able to teleport around in them [Kinda like PS!outertale if youve played that].
Most confusing set of comments award goes to THIS GUY
Orange SOUL sounds more like Green SOUL then.
We should forget about "reverse soul theory" or any similar theory. Future chapters will have special soul modes if, and only if, it makes sense for it to be in the chapter in isolation. Toby isn't even trying to follow a formula.
