Discussion: should we mention the Theme of Eastern Story (Touhou Main) Leitmotif

We don't need to have the discussion how Ch5 has so heavy 2hu reference and you might think me crazy to consider it a real leitmotif thing.

However, I need to mention two important facts that support my point of view that "Theme of Eastern Story" leitmotif has real appearances in Ch5 OST, twice:

  1. Flying Feather is actually the 2hu main theme ITSELF, but as a quoted mutated version in Ghostly Dream ~ Snow or Cherry Petal (th07, title, 00:00~00:10). Both of them has the first four sounds of the motif (2-5-6-↑1), where Ghostly Dream ~ Snow or Cherry Petal has a rare version of this motif (2-5-6-↑2), but confirmed later in the full sequence of 2-5-6-↑2-6-5 as precisely the motif intended; this slight mutation is quoted in several few other songs (e.g., The Animals' Rest). In most other 2hu title songs the regular 2-5-6-↑1-6-5 appears, so Flying Feather itself is legit in both progression and modification to be tracked as the real "Theme of Eastern Story".

Now the fact is 17. Petal Dance (THE song, I know) also contains Theme of Eastern Story as a side melody, in 1:00~1:05, accompanied with the two key shifts; they are D-G-A-↑C-A-G (debatably twice; the second time it was disrupted as D-G-A-↑C-F-G) and F-bB-↑C-↑bE-↑C-bB (twice).

If my judgment and justification is correct, I hope they will be the proof that 2hu main motif ACTUALLY appears in Deltarune, rather than just the vibes. (I know the The Doll Maker of București stuff is not valid and I don't see too much similarity, I know. Besides, if have to say, the ZUNpet part is actually more similar to Battlefield of the Flower Threshold (th14.5 Penultimate boss theme) from 1:53~2:14. Coincidentally "Flower" is also in the title of that song.)

Hope my "observation" gets some feedback.

N.B: I don't have a good track separator for OST 17 to satisfy myself that 2hu main leitmotif is included with good recoverable quality, but I am confident about myself that I have heard it.

Firstly, not a leitmotif. Motif.
Secondly:
He wouldn't be able to directly include the motifs cuz copyright.
But he may well have taken inspiration.
Or just accidentally recreated them, which can happen.
Regardless, since we don't count "The Fog" from Persona as a leitmotif for asgore, we shouldn't count this.
It's not a leitmotif.
It is at most a deliberate nod solely as inspiration, and at least completely accidental.

Accepted. Though I still wanna get confirmed is it just me or whether D-G-A-↑C-A-G and F-bB-↑C-↑bE-↑C-bB are audible side melodies in these parts of Petal Dance.

Hopefully I am not having 2hu hallucinations or something
