Some of you may say “Wait! You need to make the chapters longer, not shorter!” That’s an extremely reasonable concern, but... by the end of Chapter 7 I’m 100% sure you’ll understand why I feel confident about the way I’m telling this story. Don’t worry about the pacing until it’s over!

This gets so close to confirming that Chapter 7 really is the last chapter, but is also exactly how I would phrase things to hide an additional eighth chapter without telling a direct lie.
I mean... this reads like “when you finish Chapter 7, you'll know that Deltarune really has enough time to finish the story.”
Unless Toby has confirmed that Chapter 7 really is the last chapter somewhere else and I'm just unaware of it?

Get this: Toby Fox is lying. His last name is "Fox", after all, and foxes are known to be tricksters. Take Netskie for example, morphing into enemies almost imperceptibly. And don't get me started on his scientifically proven nickname, "Tricky Tony".
There will be a Chapter 8, there will be a Chapter 0, and Toby Fox will not get away with this.
Actually, probably the only things that state so is the chapter select screen (that Toby could just update after ch. 7 to fit more chapters lol) and that one interview that got tagged as the solution.
BUT
But but but
What if, with a very very small chance, Toby makes something absolutely insane for the finale outside of the game? Maybe an actual big ARG or something?
Maybe something like Alex Hirsch did with Gravity Falls after the show ended.
Like, come on, don't tell me that the finale releases and that's all, no more deltarune content. Toby must end things with a BANG. I'd personally love to see an ARG where one of the steps is to go back into previous chapters 1-6 and replay them to find new clues scattered through them (Toby secretly updated them when chapter 7 released and just didn't tell about that in the patch notes)
