It might seem like a stretch, but I think the chess theory is going:

KING
QUEEN

Knight..? Tenna sure doesn't act like a Bishop.

Bishop???? Religious themes... But, overall, the boss WAS the knight again.

ROOK - Still don't know

PAWN - Us, maybe, mayhaps, or maybe Toby's just gonna swap Rook and Pawn.

Maybe it's going by board order
